Video/Photos: Montclair’s Kwanzaa looks at the traditions and the present ways

Dolores Bobby Reilly is honored with a Proclamation for her service to the township, and Mama Yaa leads the traditional Kwanzaa libation ceremony at the Patrimonial Table, the lighting of the Mishumaa Saba (Seven Candles), and the meter reading of the Nguzo Saba (Septenar Principles).

After the ceremonies and performances, the Karamu (Feast) of traditional African-American and African dishes was served.
